‘Debt Settlement Explained’ was created because I am tired of all of those commercials about debt settlement programs that let you know nothing of what a debt settlement program can do for you. I am also tired of all of those ’so called’ financial advisors who hype the negative of a debt settlement program to sell more papers, so to speak, when they have never even been close to what you might be going through.

I am currently a Senior Debt Consultant with one of the most upstanding Debt Settlement companies in the nation. I have been a debt consultant for years, and  have seen and heard it all. I have helped people, through a debt settlement program settle from $8,000 to $250,000 Dollars worth of debt.

Right now, the economy has pushed the American Public to the brink… We are standing on the edge of an abyss and we can’t see the bottom. The housing market crash has forced many people from their homes, and in a last ditch effort, many people used their unsecured credit as a life line, robbing from Peter to pay Paul. Unfortunately, that will only work as long as Peter has money to steal. It’s a dead end and the culdesac is now full. I myself had to declare bankruptcy in 2000 because in 2000 there was no debt settlement program like this available to the average consumer. I am a true proponent of becoming debt free. The American public has been fooled into thinking that using credit as a means to buy what they want is acceptable. They have been advertised and marketed to, until thinking that a good credit score is necessary to being an upstanding citizen, to being honored, and honorable. We Americans have been fooled.

What we need to accept, understand, and realize, is that life does NOT take Visa. Cash is King. We need to understand that getting out from under our debt is the only way to keep the money that you make. That being debt free is the only way to invest in your future.

I can’t tell you how many people I speak to that are 45 years of age or older, with over $30,000 in debt, that can only afford the minimum payments. This is a financial fiasco! They are struggling with their minimum payments, their house has no equity, they have tapped their savings, and they have no retirement savings, much less any kind of retirement plan!

Why have I made this website? You hear all of the radio commercials, and TV ads, and they don’t tell you anything. “There is this program that the Credit Card companies don’t want you to know about…” Then you go online and search for the answers, and hear all the horror stories of a debt settlement program and people getting taken… and sued… It all sounds like a nightmare!

I want to tell you the truth. I want you to understand that a debt settlement program is a viable option in many situations for thousands and thousands of people.
